Staking Through the Explorer
We’ve integrated staking directly into the explorer to make the process secure and effortless. Participants no longer need to switch between platforms — with just a few clicks, you can delegate your tokens in a safe environment. This seamless experience lowers entry barriers for newcomers and supports decentralization by encouraging more active engagement.
Updated API Page
Developers and researchers can now use our updated API page for free, without relying on third-party services. The Explorer provides direct access to structured blockchain data, enabling easy integration into dApps, dashboards, or analytical tools. This not only saves time but also ensures that all necessary resources for building on Somnia are available in one place.

Testnet high perfomance
The Somnia testnet has delivered impressive results:
- Over 2 billion transactions processed during the testing period
- A single-day record of 80 million transactions
- 60+ validators contributing to decentralization and network stability
In addition, the Somnia team has been testing infrastructure optimization. We deployed an additional node on ZFS, which demonstrated excellent performance:
- compression: zstd-3
- compressratio: 1.48x
- disk space savings: ~33%
The node has been running smoothly, proving that Somnia is ready to handle the demands of large-scale projects and support mass adoption applications. These tests also help us identify bottlenecks early and optimize network performance in advance.
Somnia’s innovations
Somnia was created as a next-generation blockchain for fully onchain applications that require high performance and stability. At its core lie several key innovations:
- MultiStream Consensus each validator maintains its own independent data chain, while a separate consensus layer finalizes it. This approach ensures scalability and resilience even under peak loads.
- Accelerated Sequential Execution optimized transaction execution at the CPU level allows thousands of interdependent operations to be processed quickly and efficiently, avoiding the pitfalls of parallel execution.
- IceDB a custom database with deterministic access speed, ensuring predictable performance of the network even under extreme workloads.
- Data compression and BLS signature aggregation significantly reduce network traffic and infrastructure load while maintaining decentralization.
Together, these technologies make Somnia a platform for large-scale, fully onchain applications from games and social platforms to AI services and DeFi solutions where millions of users can interact in real time without compromising speed or quality.
